If you are referring to the colors of characters,  the default is the de facto standard established by Nathan Dummit in 2008, using a visual technique to help Chinese learners remember tones of Chinese characters:

First tone (red)    

Second tone (yellow)  

Third tone (green)  

Fourth tone (blue)
