If you are using the trainchinese Dictionary and Flashcards app. please select the settings (top right button) to choose the Chinese preference: Either simplified or traditional. You even can use both. 

If you are using the Chinese Writer: Here also go to settings (button at the bottom right) and there select Simplified or Traditional character set.
