I think that learning Chinese letters by their radicals (see our special radicals lists) help you to 'decode' characters. If you can study the character construction and practice writing the characters you will be working in the right direction! Chinese can be tricky to learn but with lots of practice it will all make sense and you will be reading and writing in no time!
