What would you recommend me first? Learning Chinese only by using pinying or Chinese Characters too?

Hope this can get others to answer too, but if you ask me I would make it dependent on what purpose you learn for:
If you intend to learn seriously (for example if you will stay longer in China) it is very helpful to learn the characters. If you plan to learn it for a short visit, Pinyin will be sufficient, |
