HI there! "Crack" has an adjective meaning -- "very good at a specified activity/in a specified role."
Thanks for explaining, I don't think "crack" is used in that way often in Australian English spoken in day to day life. Seems to be mostly used in a military context since examples in online dictionary usually refer to "crack troops" or "crack shot".
