“出境” (chū jìng) is used in everyday conversation to refer to leaving a country (or region). For example, someone might say “我今年夏天要出境去日本 (wǒ jīn nián xià tiān yào chū jìng qù rì běn)”, which means “I am going to Japan this summer”. It can also be used to refer to leaving a region within a country, such as “我们明天要出境去北京 (wǒ men míng tiān yào chū jìng qù běi jīng)”, which means “We are going to Beijing tomorrow”.
