迷路 (mílù) is used to describe a situation in which someone has lost their way and cannot find their way back. For example, if someone is walking in a forest and cannot find their way out, they can say "我迷路了 (wǒ mílù le) - I have gotten lost".

"get lost" is totally fine as a translation for 迷路. Please note that 迷路 is used in spoken Chinese as well. In addition, we have added "lose one's way" as another translation for this word. Thank you for your suggestion!
