越来越... shows that a certain person or object changes in a certain aspect over the time. The pattern is:
Subject ＋越爱越＋predicate (adjective or verb-object phrase)
E.g. 最近买车的人越来越多了。 [phr] More and more people are buying cars recently.
E.g 我越来越喜欢学法语。 [phr] I am becoming more and more fond of learning French.
In these sentences, 越来越 acts as the adverbial adjunct premodifying the predicate. It can only appear before the predicate and after the subject. Particle 了 is appears at the end of the sentence expressing a continuing change. No other adverbs of degree, e.g. 很, 特别, 非常…, can occur after 越来越.

The predicate can take complements of degree in a sentence using 越来越. In this case, 越来越 is placed before the complement, NOT before the predicate. For example:
Correct: 我的作文写得越来越好了。 [phr] I am getting better and better in writing composition.
Wrong: 我的作文越来越写得好了。 [phr] I am getting better and better in writing composition.
