拼命 (pīn mìng) is often used to describe someone who is working very hard or putting in a lot of effort. For example, someone might say "他拼命工作，每天加班到很晚 (tā pīn mìng gōngzuò, měitiān jiābān dào hěn wǎn) - He is working so hard, staying late every day." It can also be used to describe someone who is taking a lot of risks, for example "他拼命去完成任务 (tā pīn mìng qù wánchéng rènwù) - He is risking his life to complete the mission."
