1. 重(zhòng) can be an adjective, noun or verb. 分量 is only a noun;
2. When 重(zhòng) and 分量 are both nouns meaning "weight", the difference is that 分量 is used alone. 重 is usually used with another word, e.g. 体重，净重, etc.
