"打针" (dǎ zhēn) is used to refer to the action of giving or having an injection. For example, a doctor might say "我要给你打针" (wǒ yào gěi nǐ dǎ zhēn) which means "I'm going to give you an injection". It can also be used to refer to the injection itself, for example "他今天打了一针疫苗" (tā jīn tiān dǎ le yī zhēn yì miáo) which means "He had an injection of vaccine today".
