明明 (míngmíng) is commonly used in Chinese to mean "obviously". It is used to emphasize the obviousness of a statement or situation. For example, one might say 他们明明都知道这个事实 (tāmen míngmíng dōu zhīdào zhège shìshí) meaning "obviously they all know this fact". It can also be used to express frustration or disbelief, as in 我们明明都说了 (wǒmen míngmíng dōu shuōle) meaning "obviously we all said it".
