顺路 (shun4lu4) is used when someone is already on the way to a certain destination and they can make a slight detour to do something else. For example, if someone is driving to the store and they can make a slight detour to drop something off at a friend's house, they can say "我顺路过去送一下" (I'm just on the way, so I'll drop it off).
前往 (qian2wang3) is used when someone is going to a certain destination specifically, not just on the way. For example, if someone is going to the store specifically to buy something, they can say "我前往商店买东西" (I'm going to the store to buy something).
