导致, 引起 and 造成

1. 引起 (lead to) and 造成 (cause, bring about) have different meanings. These two are usually followed by nouns or short nominal phrases:
E.g.
饮食不合理有时会引起高血压。 [phr] Sometimes an unreasonable diet may produce hypertension.
对于给您造成的困扰,我感到很抱歉。 r/s [phr] I feel deeply sorry for the trouble I have caused you.

2. 导致 is also "lead to", and its meaning is close to 引起. 引起 indicates the beginning of something, and 导致 indicates the final result. Compare these two sentences:
E.g.
第三者插足引起了我们的矛盾。 [phr] The third person leads to conflicts between us.
第三者插足导致了我们的离婚。 [phr] The third person leads to our divorce.

3. 导致 is more flexible and can be followed by nouns or short nominal phrases:
E.g.
导致死亡 [phr] to lead to death, to result in death
第三者插足导致了我们的离婚。 [phr] The third person leads to our divorce.

导致 can also be followed up by longer sentences:
E.g.
工作强度太大导致他情绪不稳定。 [phr] The strong intensity of work makes his mood unstable.
空气污染导致肺癌的发病率逐年升高。 [phr] Air pollution caused higher incidence of lung cancer every year.
