Are there any situations when 无法 (wúfǎ) is better or worse to use than other words?

Can 無法 also mean a condition of being lawless or no law?

"无法" (wúfǎ) primarily means "unable" or "incapable" by itself.
However, when "无法" appears in "无法无天" (regardless of the law and of natural morality, maverick, undisciplined and out of control), "无法" takes on the meaning of "being lawless or no law".
