In daily conversations, 师范 (shīfàn) is used to refer to a normal school or teacher-training school. For example, someone might say, "我去了一所师范学校 (wǒ qùle yī suǒ shīfàn xuéxiào) to study teaching." 师范 (shīfàn) can also be used to refer to someone who has studied at a normal school or teacher-training school.
