难处 vs 困难
1. 难处 is more specific and 困难 is a more general and abstract term. 难处 can usually be replaced by 困难. Not all 困难 can be replaced by 难处, because 困难 is always used with certain nouns and it has become a fixed collocation, for instance:
克服困难，解决困难，面临困难，战胜困难，...
2. 困难 can be a noun as well as an adjective, while 难处 is only a noun.
