When 天 is used as a noun meaning "day, daytime", it is a nouns of quantity. By noun of quantity, we mean that this noun itself already has a meaning similar to that of a measure word. Therefore, other measure words cannot be used before 天.
For examples:
- 一周有七天。 [phr] One week has seven days.
- 过几天 [phr] in a couple of days, in a few days
We cannot use 个 before 天 in the two examples above. Please remember this, as it is a very common mistake among beginning learners.

Other nouns like 天 include: 岁(sui4, age), 年 (nian2, year), 课 (ke4, lesson, class), etc. Please feel free to check them out if you are interested.

Consider adding
天命
God’s or Heaven’s will, Mandate of Heaven (an important Confucian concept).
“In Chinese Confucian thought, the notion that heaven (tian) conferred directly upon an emperor, the son of heaven (tianzi), the right to rule. The doctrine had its beginnings in the early Zhou dynasty.”(Britannica)
