一辈子 (yībèizi) is usually used to refer to a long period of time, usually the entirety of one's life. For example, one might say 我要和你在一起一辈子 (wǒ yào hé nǐ zài yīqǐ yībèizi) which means "I want to be with you for a lifetime". It can also be used to refer to a long period of time that is not necessarily the entirety of one's life, such as 他们在一起已经一辈子了 (tāmen zài yīqǐ yǐjīng yībèizi le) which means "they have been together for a long time".
