早上 (zǎoshang) can be used to refer to the early morning, usually between the hours of 5am and 9am approximately. It can be used in a variety of contexts, such as when talking about waking up early in the morning, or when discussing plans for the day. For example, one might say 我今天早上起得很早 (wǒ jīntiān zǎoshang qǐde hěn zǎo, "I got up very early this morning"). It can also be used to refer to the time of day, such as when asking someone what time they plan to arrive somewhere. For example, one might say 你什么时候到?早上还是晚上? (nǐ shénme shíhou dào? Zǎoshang háishì wǎnshang?, "What time will you arrive? Morning or evening?").
