In this post, we discuss the differences between two adverbs: 又 and 再.
又 indicates that after the occurrence of an action or event, another action or event of the same kind occurred. It is usually used in the past tense with particle 了. For example,
E.g. 我没有考好,爸爸又发火了。 [phr] I failed again in the exam and my father lost temper again.
再 is used to add on a same action or event. It has the meaning of “again” too but it is used on a future action or event. For example,
E.g. 请再写一遍 [phr] Please write one more time.
