爬 (pá) is used to describe the action of crawling, climbing, or getting up from bed. For example, 小孩子们爬上树 (xiǎoháizi men pá shàng shù) means "the children climbed up the tree". It can also be used to describe the action of getting up from bed, such as 我爬起来准备上学 (wǒ pá qǐlái zhǔnbèi shàngxué) which means "I got up to prepare for school".
