Select the way you want to see the Chinese characters

You can adjust the font used to display Chinese characters on the web pages Select fonts
Color the Chinese according to the tone
Use the de facto standard established by Nathan Dummit in 2008:
First tone    Second tone   Third tone   Fourth tone

Modify consecutive third tones

If selected then tones will follow the spoken Chinese, that is if two third tones appear consecutively the first syllable will be modified to show the second tone.
As an example, if selected then nǐ hǎo will be presented in the way it is really spoken that is as: ní hǎo
