You are correct the original pinyin for this word should be cai3 fang3, but in spoken Chinese, we follow the tone-changing rules and say "cai2 fang3".
You can tailor your account settings to either let trainchinese display the original tones "cai3 fang3", or the tones after the tone-changing rules are applied -- "cai2 fang3".
To change this setting you need to log into our website trainchinese.com using your Username and Password, and do it there in settings.
Thank you!

采访 (cǎifǎng) is used to describe the action of a journalist interviewing a person of public interest. For example, 那位明星从不接受采访。 That pop star never accepts interviews.

Great question! The purpose is different. Please see:
- 采访 [cai3 fang3] , (v) to interview (done by a journalist to a person of public interest)
- 面试 [mian4 shi4] , (n/v) interview; to interview (an oral examination of an applicant for a job or school admission)
