You must watch out the stroke order and it is absolutely necessary as it will help you to memorize the Chinese Characters. I agree with Meirbek87, you need to keep on practice by writing the Chinese characters over and over again. Sub-consciously, you somehow remember how to write the Chinese character.

When 我 is followed by an organization that is usually monosyllabilic (e.g. a factory, government office, school, university, etc.) referring to itself (as opposed to other parties that are not part of itself), 我 means 我们. This usage is usually used in written Chinese.

On the other hand, if it's spoken Chinese, we would instead use 我们:
我校、我厂 = 我们的学校、我们的工厂
