I'm still a little confused about how the study notes work. I tried to add a study note to a card, (that I had already added to a list and retrieved with my desk top trainer), and nothing about the card is different. What I'm trying to do is give myself a way to more easily distinguish between cards that have very similar meanings, like  能 and 会. It's a little bit hard to memorize what you already have on the English side of the card, so I would like to add my own way of distinguishing between these kinds of similar characters.
